Video Game Testers Needed! (scamscamscam!)

Hey, Google Ads served up a "Video Game Testers Needed" ad at the right.

All together, kids - "Scam."

Do you think videogame publishers have problems recruiting testers so much that they'd outsource to somebody you've never heard of? Strike 1. (Try Volt or Manpower)

Do you think videogame publishers are going to send you alpha and beta copies at your home rather than save money on shipping, hardware and personnel costs by having testers temp at a bi testing house? Strike 2.

Do you think, for one bloody second, that anybody would pay you to test games at home? We can summon 1,000 testers for FREE at the drop of a hat. Strike 3.

Seriously, though, if you want to test, throw all your stuff in your car and get ready to move. Then go on the IntarTubes to publisher websites, click on "careers," and you'll find a test gig. Then get in your car, drive to the town where you'll be testing, and prepare to give your life to the industry. It's not easy, but it really is that simple.
