Nice story here about the Wii just being a "GameCube 1.5."
There are a lot of cool details in there, that all add up to "Whatever it is, it's better than a GameCube."
BUT.
The cool thing about the Wii truly being an incremental step in hardware and a revolutionary step in control is that many of Nintendo's developers and third-party publishers were able to take previous or in-development game assets and pop them on the Wii, saving time and money, and thereby increasing shareholder value.
See some games that came out at and just after launch and see if they don't look thuthpithithly like their GameCube predecessors...
